Rick de Leeuw, born in Haarlem in 1960, is a well-known figure in the Dutch and Flemish music scenes. As a writer, poet, and rock singer, he has built an impressive career. He first rose to fame with the band Tröckener Kecks in 1990, thanks to their hit song "Met Hart & Ziel". Since then, he has remained a constant presence in the world of music and culture. Although the Kecks disbanded in 2001, their later albums remain popular—two of them even reached the Dutch album chart’s top ten last year.
About Rick de Leeuw
After the band split up, Rick turned his focus to theatre tours, performing to sold-out venues alongside radio host Jan Hautekiet. Still, his passion for rock music never faded. For the past ten years, he has been performing with a new band featuring Kreuners bassist Axl Peleman and guitarist Roeland Vandemoortele. Their energetic shows continue to leave a lasting impression, making Rick one of the most dynamic performers of his generation.
Rick de Leeuw’s new album, Het komt allemaal goed (It’s All Going to Be Alright), is driven by a deep creative urge and features twelve powerful songs. Inspired by Flemish musical traditions, the album comes in a unique three-sided release. The accompanying tour promises a mix of new material and unforgettable classics from his rich musical past.
